Newport Bed and Breakfast Hiring Front Desk/Marketing/Social Media Associate

Popular Newport Bed and Breakfast is seeking a part-time, year round front desk and marketing associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible, resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, and have superior computer skills with the ability to learn new programs easily. Experience in marketing, e-newsletters, and managing social media accounts desired. As part of a small team, this position will also include front desk responsibilities such as providing friendly customer service to hotel guests, booking phone and on-line reservations, acting as concierge for dining and activities. Customer service experience and an outgoing personality are required. This is a part-time position 25-30 hours per week including weekend hours. Job Description:

Marketing/Social Media: monthly e-postcard and blog, bi-monthly thank you emails, website updates, instagram, facebook, help create new packages, google analytics, trip advisor reviews and packages.

ecoRI Hiring News Audience Development and Outreach Associate

ecoRI News seeks to hire an outreach and audience development associate on a year-round per-diem basis. Hours vary, but, on average, the individual may work up to 30 hours per month — possibly more during busy summer months and possibly fewer during the winter months.

Responsibilities: Serve as the public face of ecoRI News by engaging with the public and raising awareness of the ecoRI News brand; recruit new subscribers for ecoRI News’ weekly e-newsletter by tabling at events; self schedule (with some guidance from the Executive Director) and table at markets, fairs, concerts and conferences throughout
southern New England.

Qualifications: Outgoing and personable with exceptional verbal communication skills; flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings and weekends; Ability to lift up to 20 pounds; willingness to work outdoors; access to a vehicle; knowledge of current environmental issues; fundraising experience is a plus.

Compensation: $12 per hour to start. Travel mileage will be reimbursed.
